“Reconnecting for Environmental Justice Action,” hosted by UUJO: Unitarian Universalist Justice Ohio
Saturday, August 21, 10-11am, this on-line event requires advance registration
We all know that it’s important to protect the planet. Many of us are working on green initiatives, gardens, and other conscious choices. We are simultaneously working on anti-racism and dismantling white supremacy.
What if we could combine those two efforts into one called Environmental Justice?
What if Unitarian Universalist congregations, other faith communities, and organizations doing Environmental Justice work around the state could connect with each other and work together?
We started this discussion with “Connecting the Dots: Planet, People, Power,” earlier in August.
Whether you attended that event or not, we invite all who are interested in this topic to join in as we reconnect on Saturday, August 21, 10-11am, and begin Reconnecting for Action! We are louder, stronger, and accomplish more if we come together to move in action as a community. Remember to register in advance at bit.ly/reconnectforaction.
To help prepare for our next meeting, please take a few minutes to fill out the brief survey about what your groups are doing around issues of environmental justice. The survey information will be the start of our planning for action, giving Unitarian Universalist congregations and Environmental Justice partners a chance to describe where they would like support. We are all in this together!
