Meet here: parking lot on North 4th Street, between Long and Spring Streets, (set your GPS for 144 North 4th Street, and look for the Medicare for All signs at the entrance)

The movement for Medicare for All continues in Columbus, with a Car Caravan, dedicated to encouraging Congresswoman Joyce Beatty to again become a cosponsor of HR 1976, Medicare for All, this Saturday, November 6th. Gathering from Noon to 12:45PM, brief announcements; rolling at 1 PM. The route will be about 2 miles.

We will have a Medicare for All sign for each car...you can bring your own as well. Plan to tape it to a car door, the hood, or on the back.

This event is the idea, initiative, and sponsored by National Nurses United (NNU), a nurses' union which has been a long time proponent of Medicare for All. Nurses know first hand the financial hardship which their patients endure. SPAN Ohio is a partner in this action.

NNU is funding the use of the parking lot...an ad in the Columbus Dispatch on Thursday, November 4th...and a towed billboard to lead the Caravan. This event is also being duplicated on the same day in 3 other cities where Congressional House Members were also Medicare for All cosponsors in 2018, but have not signed on in this term.
