Thursday, March 3 and Friday, March 4; 9:30am- 4pm, this on-line event requires advance registration
Every day, nearly 12,000 Ohioans languish behind bars simply because of an inability to pay cash bail. The system criminalizes poverty and compromises the integrity of the criminal legal system. Last spring, two bipartisan bail reform bills were introduced to the legislature — Senate Bill 182 and House Bill 315 — with the power to transform Ohio’s pretrial process. Join the Jewish Federation of Cleveland, Towards Employment, Reform Action Ohio, NAACP, and statewide bail reform partners as we urge lawmakers to pass these critically important bills.

This will be a time to discuss articles, news, and videos informing campaign strategy. E-mail Melekte Melaku at <mmelaku@acluohio.org> directly for the materials.
