Friday, April 22, 11:30am-2pm, Fawcett Center, 2400 Olentangy River Rd.

The blows to the head and strangulation that domestic violence survivors experience have long been recognized. Yet it isn’t until recently that the invisible epidemic of brain injury from domestic violence is coming to light, with Ohio leading the way, and we need you to help us take it to the next level.

To improve outcomes of chronic brain injury, we need to start in a different place. How do we highlight the role of brain injury from domestic violence? How do we bring the focus to communities too often ignored and incorporate equity and health justice in the work?

Join us for a new look at how we consider domestic violence and brain injury. We invite you to participate so that all of us can contribute, collaborate, and take wiser action.

We are hoping that this will result in a better understanding of what research and practice are needed to better address this issue and to improve the lives of survivors.
