Presentation by and discussion with Dennis Kucinich, Former Mayor of Cleveland, Ohio State Senator, U.S. Congressperson and Presidential Candidate, Author of The Division of Light and Power.  As Mayor of Cleveland, Kucinich stood up to local, state and federal political and economic power structures to keep Cleveland's public utility ("Muny Light") public, as chronicled in his incredible new book, The Division of Light and Power. Dennis will share how Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company corrupted the political process then and the lessons learned for us today as we educate and organize to assert people power over business corporations -- including to revoke the charter of FirstEnergy and dissolve the company for their direct involvement in the largest bribery scandal in Ohio history. 77th Commemoration of the Atomic Bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.  Columbus Campaign For Arms Control Peace Concert

The Hiroshima For Peace Concert is an annual memorial concert which commemorates the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasoki, and advocates for nuclear disarmament. The series of memorial gatherings and peaceful protests were founded by Mark Stansbery, Yoshi Furuhashi, and composer Rocco Di Pietro began a series of peace concerts in 2014. For this concert, we ask that you observe the following COVID POLICY: Masks are encouraged and recommended in any space regardless of vaccination status. Please spread out at least 6 feet or more between people/families/audience members. Musicians will maintain at least 6 feet of distance from audience members when removing a mask to speak or sing.
