The Medical Heritage Center and Voices in Humanism invite you to the opening of this compelling new exhibit on Thursday, January 26, 1-3 pm. Learn more about these three women and their incredible passion to challenge the status quo in their communities:
• Dianne Kadonaga: “From Survival Farming to Urban Garden Oasis: Coming Full Circle in the Sunny Glen Garden”
• Marybeth McDonald: “The Comfort Box as a Seed of Change in the Evolving Landscape of Mental Health Care”
• Paula Penn-Nabrit: “Spiritual and Cultural Connections to Gardens in Black, African American Communities”
This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served at the opening event. The exhibit will be on display until the end of April.
Masks are optional and encouraged at this event as it is a small space.
Support for this exhibit is provided by the Medical Heritage Center at The Ohio State University Health Sciences Library and Voices in Humanism, a collaboration between the Medical Heritage Center and the Gold Humanism Honor Society’s Resident Chapter.
