The League of Women Voters of Metropolitan Columbus is proud to announce that the 2023 “Democracy In Action Award” event will honor Fran Ryan for her lifelong commitment to the citizens of Columbus through her service in the City of Columbus Government and leadership in area nonprofit organizations.

Fran has selected two honorary co-chairs for the event: Jerry Revish, retired WBNS-10 TV anchor; and Elizabeth Brown, YWCA Columbus CEO and former Columbus City Council Member. The emcee for the Democracy In Action event will be Angela Pace, Director of Community Affairs at WBNS-10 TV.

Funds raised from the Democracy In Action Award event support the mission of the League of Women Voters in central Ohio to promote the informed and active participation of citizens in government and influence public policy through education and advocacy. Sponsor support ensures the continuation of the League’s vital services, including the nonpartisan voter guide; voter registration events; candidate forums; educational events and public forums; and advocacy for good government and voter protection.

Free parking will be available in the lot immediately south of the museum. A side entrance with elevator access will be open for use.

Ticket prices: $75.00 to $1,000.00.
