Friday, August 18, 12noon-1pm, this on-line event requires advance registration
In recent years, academic researchers and community activists have shined new light on past discriminatory practices such as restrictive covenants, residential displacement, unfair zoning, and biased redistricting, and the ways these practices contribute to present-day urban inequalities.
This panel discussion features community-engaged professionals from a variety of organizations who are uncovering the legacies of these discriminatory practices and seeking a more socially just future for the people and places that have been harmed.
Join us on August 18, 12noon-1pm, to view the discussion!
Panelists:
• Braden Crooks: Co-Founder of Designing the We
• April De Simone: Co-Founder of Designing the We
• Cate Mingoya-LaFortune: Chief Officer of Climate Resilience and Land Use at Groundwork USA
