Saturday, August 19, 9-11:30am, Columbus Metropolitan Library [Parsons Branch], 1113 Parsons Ave.

Did you know, according to Franklin County Public Health, “Approximately 40% of trauma-related deaths worldwide are due to bleeding or its consequences.” Someone who is bleeding can die from blood loss within five minutes, so it is important to stop blood loss as quickly as possible.

Join Community Pride for a hands-on “Stop the Bleed Training” event on Saturday, August 19, at the Columbus Metropolitan Library [Parsons Branch], 1113 Parsons Ave. Learn life-saving techniques to control bleeding and provide immediate aid in emergency situations. This in-person event is designed to empower individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to save lives. Whether you’re a concerned community member, a healthcare professional, or just curious to learn, this training will equip you with valuable skills.

This is a free community safety training that’ll be facilitated by skilled comrades Prof. Hellbend and Jukebox. The training will be held from 9am to 11:30am at the Columbus Metropolitan Library [Parsons Branch], 1113 Parsons Ave. in Meeting Room 2. Light breakfast snacks and water will be provided!

Content Warning: there will be fake blood. Please wear clothes that you don’t mind getting the fake blood on; it does wash out, but just in case!

Masks are required. The back entrance is wheelchair accessible off of the parking lot.
