Wednesday, September 13, 9am, Trinity Episcopal Church on Capitol Square, 125 E. Broad St.
Over a year after being ordered to redraw maps (for the fifth time) by the Ohio Supreme Court, the Ohio Redistricting Commission has finally called its first meeting to create new Ohio House and Senate Maps for the 2024 election.
We must show the Commission that Ohio’s commitment to fair maps has not wavered.
Please join the Fair and Equal Districts Coalition as we walk in solidarity from Trinity Episcopal Church to the hearing room in the Rhodes State Office Tower.
Remember to wear your T-shirts and buttons so that the commissioners and media will see that Ohioans will never give up until the gerrymander is finally slayed.
When: Wednesday, September 13 at 9am sharp! We will start walking at around 9:15am
Where: Trinity Episcopal Church on Capitol Square, 125 E. Broad St.
What: Solidarity Walk for Fair Maps!
Security and Visibility: Wear your T-shirts and buttons! Remember to pack light since you will have to go through security; signs/flags will not be allowed; big bags will slow down the line.
Spread the Word: Post to your social media accounts and use #EqualDistricts and #FairDistrictsOhio.
Hosted by League of Women Voters of Ohio, Common Cause Ohio, Fair Districts Coalition, and Equal Districts.
