Monday, September 26, 6:30-8:30pm, Columbus Metropolitan Library [Northside Branch], 1423 N. High St.

Columbus is changing its zoning code for the first time in 70 years — and you’re invited to add your input on how the City should change it! On September 26, Ohio Environmental Council Emerging Leaders are hosting a climate-focused community workshop on Columbus’ zoning codes and want your voice in the discussion.

Join the Ohio Environmental Council Emerging Leaders Council, Zone-In, and Sustainable Columbus to discuss how the rezoning initiative can make our city a more accessible, affordable, sustainable, and resilient place to live as we continue to grow. This set of laws that govern the use of abandoned, owned, and rented property are a little-known but powerful tool that any city can use to address climate and environmental impacts.

During our two-hour interactive workshop, you’ll hear from and have opportunities to ask questions to our panel, grow your skills, and share your input on the zoning changes.

In addition to learning the fundamentals on how zoning impacts Ohio’s environment, this workshop will equip you with the tools you need to engage constructively in rezoning discussions, make your voice heard — and help shape the future of our city.

Hosted by Ohio Environmental Council Emerging Leaders and The Ohio Environmental Council.
