Saturday, November 4, 1-11pm, Greater Columbus Convention Center, 400 N. High St.
The Columbus Witches’ Ball is an annual celebration that takes place every year around Halloween (Samhain). It is a chance for witches, druids, heathens, pagans, and other open-minded people to gather together and celebrate our community, to have ritual, to dance, and to get our groove on. It is an evening full of laughter and fellowship with old friends and new.
The Ball has a rich history here in Central Ohio, going back to the days of “The Real Witches’ Ball” that A.J. Drew and his store, Salem’s West, used to host back 20 plus years ago. After A.J. retired, Psyche North Torok, owner of Fly-by-Night, took over the event a couple of years later, renaming the event “The Witches Ball.” It was during her run with the ball that Michael and Seamus began co-hosting the event. First with their grove, Three Cranes Grove, ADF, and later with their store The Magical Druid. After Psyche retired, they began hosting the event first in the store, and then later at the First Unitarian Universalist Church. After a few years of being restricted by the size of the church, they moved to the Greater Columbus Convention Center. The event continues to evolve, and in 2021, they added several vendors and co-sponsors.
