Wednesday, December 6, 6-8pm, OSU African American and African Studies Community Extension Center, 905 Mt. Vernon Ave.
Please join The Ohio State University, IMPACT Community Action, the City of Columbus, and Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission [MORPC] for a Pollution Reduction Community Conversation and Co-Design Session.
Your feedback will help us plan for investments for pollution reduction and human and environmental health.
Who are we?
We are a group of partners focusing on pollution reduction, human and environmental health, and community engagement and activism for shared leadership and decision-making in the Central Ohio region.
What are we doing?
Over the next few years, with funding from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, we will be working to improve environmental health and environmental justice. Environmental justice is “the fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people regardless of race, color, national origin, or income, with respect to the development, implementation, and enforcement of environmental laws, regulations, and policies.” One vision of environmental justice is that all community members have the same degree of protection from environmental and health hazards, as well as equal access to decision-making that affects their environment and health.
How can you help?
You can help by staying updated, engaged, and informed. Your feedback throughout our project is crucial and we would love to hear from you!
Participants will get up to $25 in gift cards.
