The Magpie Consort, an excellent group of Columbus singers and instrumentalists, is performing three concerts this holiday season in support of the Neighborhood Services, Inc. [NSI] Food Pantry.

“Stars of Wonder” is a program of music and poetry inspired by the stars. Highlights include gorgeous music by Monteverdi, as well as choral and instrumental music, songs, and carols from Spain, Finland, Latvia, Ukraine, Georgia, England, Sicily, and America.

Guests include Phil Brown Dupont (piano), Sean Ferguson (theorbo and guitar), Rockelle Strader (narration and cello), Jessa Ehle (violin), Vickie Starbuck (recorders), and Meghan Western (dance). Please come and help fill the three beautiful venues — and join in some songs celebrating Diwali and Kwanzaa as well as Christmas.

From its humble beginnings, NSI has grown into one of the largest hunger assistance service providers in Columbus, Ohio. NSI primarily serves working low-income families and individuals, unemployed individuals and their families, and single heads of household with young, dependent children in the Columbus community.
