Please join us as we talk with author Reza Aslan about his new book A Kids Book About Israel and Palestine to explain the conflict and its history with fairness and simplicity. The purpose of the book is to help make it easier for parents and kids to understand the basics and have a foundation for continued conversation.
Reza Aslan (he/him) is a writer and scholar of religions. He lives in Los Angeles, California, with his wife and four kids, so he knows a thing or two about trying to solve conflicts. He is an Iranian-American scholar of sociality, writer, and television host. A convert to evangelical Christianity from Shia Islam as a youth, Aslan eventually reverted to Islam but continued to write about Christianity. He has written four books on religion. He is a member of the American Academy of Religion and the International Qur’anic Studies Association. He is a professor of creative writing at the University of California, Riverside. His bestseller books are No god but God and Zealot: The Life and Times of Jesus of Nazareth.
