Trump with shadow of a longer nose

President Trump will go down in history as the US President who told the most lies. He spews lies like a slot machine spits out nickels. Trump should be the last person to complain about fake news and quit calling the US media the enemy of the American people.

Politico reported that Trump lied on average every five minutes over the course of 4.6 hours of speeches and press conferences.

The Huffington Post recorded that he told 71 lies over the course of just one town hall event. However,

The Washington Post reported in July 2020 that President Trump made over 20,000 "false or misleading claims." This amounts to an average of 23 false claims a day. (A polite way to describe lies.)

Here is my favorite 7 lies of Trump with my response:

1- President Donald Trump has lied for several years that he was honored as "Man of the Year." The truth is, he received only a plaque as a thank gesture for speaking at a Michigan Republican dinner in 2013.

2- Trump told a naked lie about Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar by falsely claiming that Rep. Omar had used the phrase "evil Jews," and he later shared a Twitter video that falsely claimed she had been dancing in celebration on the anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

3- Trump told a big fat lie that he has the largest audience ever to witness an inauguration, both in person and around the globe. He even doubles down the day after the inauguration by saying, "God prevented rain," when in fact, it rained. According to All News reports, the Women’s March brought a larger crowd to the National Mall than Trump’s inauguration had the day before. Trump bragged of 1.5 million, whereas eight years earlier, Obama drew a crowd of around 1.8 million. Trump drew probably closer to 250,000.

4-Trump has denied on Fox News that he ever accused President George W. Bush of lying about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq to fool Americans into supporting the war in Iraq. “I didn’t tell a lie. I said he may have lied.” That’s false. Yahoo News reported on February 13, 2016, that Trump said Bush “lied.”

5- During a speech in Alabama, Trump made his first claim about thousands of Muslims celebrating and dancing in New Jersey on the morning of the 9/11 terrorist attack after the first World Trade Center tower was hit. This was widely discredited. Trump was asked twice if what he saw was in New Jersey, and he said “yes” both times. The fact is, Trump was referring to the 5 dancing Israelis, better known as the "five dancing Shlomos," who were arrested by the New Jersey Police Department around 4 PM on September 11th. The police and the FBI found with them box cutters (the same items the 19 hijackers supposedly used), $4,700 cash "stuffed in a sock," and foreigner passports. They were held in jail for 72 days, then expelled to Israel, and their testimony was sealed as top secret. I wonder why?

6- Trump said he was putting pressure on the Democrats to end "the horrible law that separates children from their parents once they cross the border into the US.” A year later, he insisted on lying about it in an interview on Telemundo, where he claimed again, “When I became president, President Obama had a separation policy. I didn’t have it. He had it. I brought the families together. I’m the one that put them together.” It was under his watch that ICE agents ripped migrant children from their parents and threw them in cages.

7- Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Trump claimed the Coronavirus "was a hoax, under control, I know better than medical experts, and he blamed the testing as the reason for the spikes in the number of COVID-19 cases. Trump said the more testing you have more cases. We have more testing than any other country. It is pretty simple!" He further added, "Before I was a president, we did not have testing." Duh, there was no Covid-19 before 2016!

Maybe the US Constitution requirement to become president should be amended to include passing IQ tests and a lie detector test!
