Join Jews for a Secular Democracy on December 11 at 7pm for an insightful webinar examining the impact of school vouchers on public education and their implications for the First Amendment’s separation of church and state.
Together with moderator Paul Golin, Executive Director of the Society for Humanistic Judaism, our esteemed panelists will explore:
• How school vouchers may infringe upon First Amendment protections concerning the separation of church and state;
• The damage of voucher programs to the integrity and funding of public education systems;
• The potential impact of the 2024 election on school voucher programs; and
• The broader societal and legal implications of diverting public funds to private and religious schools.
Our panelists include:
• Beth Lewis, Executive Director of Save Our Schools Arizona, is a public education advocate and K-12 policy expert dedicated to ensuring fully and equitably funded schools for every Arizona child.
• Nikolas Nartowicz, Lead Policy Counsel at Americans United for Separation of Church and State, is an expert in church-state separation law and policy, focusing on protecting religious freedom and ensuring government neutrality in religious matters.
• Mark Davis, President of the Freedom From Religion Foundation Cincinnati Metro Chapter, is a dedicated advocate for the separation of church and state, with extensive experience in social action and support for secular organizations.
Now is not the time to sit quietly on the sidelines. Don’t miss out on this timely and vital discussion!
