What should we do when our movements are attacked? When our leaders are imprisoned? Our organizers threatened? Our supporters jailed? Our buildings burned to the ground?
How can our movements survive the rise of tyranny, authoritarianism, and fascism? How can we defend our communities and our planet against such violence?
On July 21 at 6pm Pacific Time [9pm Eastern Time], we invite you to join us for a special event, “Solidarity Against Tyranny,” to help answer this question.
This event will feature activists, organizers, and revolutionaries from the Philippines and from the Appalachian South. Speakers include Mario E. Maderazo, an environmental and human rights lawyer; Cris De Vera, founder of the Ethniko Bandido Infoshop; Jaybee Garganera of the Alyansa Tigil Mina (Filipino Alliance Against Mining); Terry Lodge of the Community Environmental Legal Defense Fund [CELDF]; and Denzel Caldwell of the Highlander Center.
