Harvey,

Unfortunately this Ohio recount only works to solidify the Republican position.  Those who perpetrated this crime already had this all figured in.  That's why the exit poles are so important.  That is the true vote.  People coming out of the poling booths saying they voted for Kerry (and believing it) when the computer says they voted for Bush.  This type of fraud  doesn't show up in a recount.  It is only a revote that can address these issues.  Please press on for a revote.  It's the only way justice can be served.  Thank you for keeping the momentum on this most critical issue.  Our democracy is at stake!

Thank you.

I JUST READ AN ARTICLE BY GARY BECKWITH ABOUT THE WITHHOLDING OF THE RAW POLLS BY THE NATIONAL TELEVISION NETWORKS,I SUGGEST WE POST SOMEWHERE ASKING EVERYONE TO START FLOODING THE NETWORKS WITH EMAILS,SAYING WE WILL BOYCOTT THEM AND THEIR ADVERTISERS,WE WILL TURN OFF OUR TELEVISION SETS IF THEY DO NOT START TALKING ABOUT IT ON THEIR NEWS PROGRAM,I HAVE ALREADY DONE THIS,BUT AM NOT SURE HOW MANY OTHERS HAVE DONE IT OR DOING IT,WE ONLY HAVE A FEW MORE DAYS TO GET THIS DONE,LETS START PUTTING PRESSURE ON THEM,WHO KNOWS,WITH PRAYERS IT MIGHT MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

What an incredible bunch of losers you left wing whackos are! To ease the burden on your aboriginal brains about why the networks won't release the exit poll data, here's the answer: the data will show that they lied about how "well" Kerry was faring during the morning hours of November 2.

As for your disbelief about why head Democratic party officials and the networks refuse to challenge the Republicans about vote fraud, look no further than the reports that emerged during October about junkies in Ohio getting hard cash for registering non-existent people as Democrats. If they dared to challenge the officially tallied results of the Ohio elections, the Republicans would pull out all the stops and investigate the fraudulent attempts to swell the rolls of registered Democrats.

The choice is yours: get over it or risk public humiliation as indicated above.
Harvey Wasserman, last week Christmas Eve, on Democracy Now two days in a row railed against John Kerry for his failure to join the Ohio vote recount battle. On December 23rd it was reported on a blog carried by Dailykos.com that late Thursday afternoon Kerry had filed suit and joined the battle, this news was not carried by any of the mainstream media, neither was it reported until today by FreePress. I think if you claim to tell the truth, you tell the whole truth and not partial truth. Wasserman should apologise to Kerry and the listeners of Democracy Now for failing to uncover the entire story. This situation is serious enough without compounding it be accusations against the person who it affects the most.

Keith: You were the only member of the mainstream media to address the election fraud issue. Now, you're relying on people from the WALL STREET JOURNAL to frame the debate?

Goodness gracious. That's like asking Vladimir Putin for commentary on how to conduct fair elections.

This isn't about Kerry and Bush, no matter how much journalists try to frame the issue in partisan terms. It's about the integrity of our election process. Doesn't it strike you as remarkable that even without help from newspapers and TV, one American in five doesn't believe the election on Nov. 2 was honest? What would the percentage be if the New York Times, CBS, and CNN had presented balanced coverage all along, instead of virtually ignoring the problem?

You seem to think that Kerry's strategy (having it both ways?) is what matters here. IT ISN'T! I don't care a damn about Kerry at this point, frankly...but I do care that my four grandchildren are growing up in a world where fraudulent elections overseas are exposed (with American help) but our own are tolerated, while journalists either pay no attention or frame the issue in terms of political gamesmanship.
COLUMBUS -- Ohio Republican Secretary of State J. Kenneth Blackwell refused to appear at a deposition on Monday, December 27. The deposition was part of an election challenge lawsuit filed at the Ohio Supreme Court. Meanwhile John Kerry is reported to have filed a federal legal action aimed at preserving crucial recount evidence, which has been under GOP assault throughout the state.

Richard Conglianese, Ohio Assistant Attorney General, is seeking a court order to protect Blackwell from testifying under oath about how the election was run. Blackwell, who administered Ohio's November 2 balloting, served as co-chair of the Bush-Cheney campaign.

James R. Dicks, Miami County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, filed a motion to block a deposition in his county while Conglianese filed to block depositions in ten key Ohio counties.

This is a Christmas and New Year's Eve communication to friends who have helped us to confront Alice's difficult challenge over the past nine (almost ten) months.

First, we wish to express thanks to each and all of you.  We have no way adequately to express how important your support has been to us.

Second, on December 21 the Fourth District Court of Appeals entered the following in its docket:  "Given that it appears Appellant has made a good faith claim of confidentiality her motion to stay the Trial Court's judgment finding her in contempt and ordering her incarcerated is granted pending appeal."

This Court decision means that, at least until the Court of Appeals renders a judgment on the merits, Alice is not faced with going to jail if she does not testify.  Her attorney will now pursue the appeal on the merits.

All:

The "Democrats" are " selling you down the river" . Abandon them now, tell them so, get the new act together now. They refused to run a resolute, informative, antifascist campaign in 2004, and now they are caving in to the DLC agents of the RNC. It is time to end all progressive support for the "Democrats". It is time to organize MASSIVELY for a New Progressive Party. The New Progressive Party must go out to the American people and put to them squarely the simple question of whether it is worth it to give up health care, medicare, social security, education, clean water, clean air, safe medications, civil international relations, and many more things in order to get antidemocratic prayer in the schools. Damn the "Democrats"! Full Speed Ahead !!!
