President Yasir Arafat's coffin had barely touched the ground of his temporary tomb in Ramallah when United States President George Bush and UK Prime Minister Tony Blair jointly made yet another statement on Middle East Peace. Setting aside the fact that the timing of the statement was disrespectful and showed ignorance of the Islamic custom of observing three days of mourning to respect the dead, Bush and Blair, seemingly jovial over Arafat's passing, offered yet another non-starter for moving the region from its never-ending peace process to a 'lasting peace.'

It is said that one can fool some of the people, some of the time, but not all the people, all of the time. President Bush and Prime Minister Blair can't possibly believe Palestinians will fall for the same tricks that have been thrown at them for years now. The substance of the most recent Bush-Blair statement on November 12 is nothing more that an unmasked and feeble attempt to fool all of the Palestinians, yet again.

I just finished reading None dare call it voter suppression and fraud by Bob Fitrakis.

I really enjoyed the piece and appreciate all the supporting facts Mr Fitrakis used.  Too bad we can't get the major TV networks to do any investigative journalism anymore!

Thank you.

The Friday press conference where Cliff Anebeck, Susan Truitt and Bob Fitrakis announced their intention to contest the election in Ohio. The whole recording is 32 minutes long. You can hear Ohio Statehouse Nrews Bureau reporter Bill Cohen, Julia Carr-Smyth ( Plain Dealer), and Evan asking questions but the microphone remaioned trained on the speakers so the questions are faint. http://www.radio4all.net/proginfo.php?id=10442
Dear Harvey,

Thanks for hitting the issue head-on.  I DO feel betrayed. When the judges allowed stand-by Republicans to challenge voters standing in line, I KNEW it was Florida repeated. Send me in the right direction.  Who do I support?

Will this effort continue?  Hope so. Found you on commondreams.org A little younger than I am, but a real product of the 60's. Carol Harkins

PS.  Our race for governor has still not been resolved, the national Dems could have waited, too.  If our ballots for governor have still not been counted, when is the final tabulation due on the presidential election?

This following is a copy of the email that I sent to various news organizations and personal friends on November 3rd, 2004.

Mr. Wasserman:

No need for confusion here: (1) Web articles clearly demonstrate to anyone with the intelligence of a Teddy Bear that Kerry "threw" the Election.

(2) Articles state that he will be walking off into the mists of time with millions of unspent campaign money.

(3) One article, with references, indicates that Mrs. Heinz-Kerry received a gold warehouse receipt worth 5 million (thanks, no doubt, for keeping a firm grip on our hero's testicles).

(4) Other speculation is that Dr. Dean was shot down early as a real threat to Bush so that a non-entitiy like Kerry, with the personality of a freshly opened oyster,  could impersonate a viable candidate for the public.

(5) Since it would offend many, I will not characterize those who ever thought Kerry had the chance of a snowbell in Hell.

(6) I was about to ramble on about corruption of the voting, but have been interrupted by an ominous knock at the door.

Hello to all

I am Dr. Lora Chamberlain in Chicago of the Illinois Progressive Democrats. I am helping the League of Pissed Off Voters, CASE and other citizens groups in Ohio with their public hearings about election fraud and a rally for a full criminal investigation into any and all election fraud during this past election on Nov.2nd.

Reach Out, a citizen action group in Ohio is sponsoring the rally on Sat. 11/13th at the Capitol Square in downtown Columbus, OH,  180 E. Broadway, beginning at 10:30am and going until 12:30pm, then they will march to the public hearings that will begin at 1pm and go until 4pm at the New Faith Baptist Church, 955 Oak St., on the near east side of Columbus, OH. Additional public hearings will occur on Mon, 11/15, 6-9pm at the Franklin County Courthouse, room A, 373 S. High St in downtown Columbus. All interested citizens are encouraged to attend. This rally and the hearings will be posted at www.indyvoter.org in the calendar and at www.michiganIMC.org .

I read your article with considerable interest. I am a Miami County democrat who believes that there was probably considerable fraud in the election. But your article has some incorrect information about the Miami County election results. Your critics will try to use the bad info to repudiate your entire article.

I was in the Miami County Board of Elections most of the evening on November 2. We have a small family company that developed and hosts the website for the Miami County Board of Elections. I always post election results on the website. I was at the Board waiting for the final results. I watched as Steve Quillen, the Board Director, put floppy disks that he had taken from the tabulating computer and put them into the reporting computer. He did this at about 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, and 100% of the count. Each time he added more votes, he generated a paper report which was duplicated and passed out to reporters waiting in the hall outside. I looked at each of the reports. When the final one came out about midnight, we copied the report file onto my floppy disk. I came home and immediately
Thank you Harvey for this article. It really resonates with me.

I too was awe-struck at the speed with which Kerry conceded, just as Gore had conceded so immediately in 2000.

It makes me think there's something very strange going on.

What I found very odd and disconcerting was how the johnkerry.com website IMMEDIATELY pulled the plug on their blog at the end of November 2.  The vibrant blog which was the place where the Kerry supporters could communicate and strategize together was instantly killed, just when it was needed most.  It just doesn't make any sense.

I get the sense that the Democrats are just a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Republicans. Not a real party, but just a prop just to "prove" that we're not a one-party state. It's similar to when a corporation spins off a new brand that makes the identical product they make, just so consumers can feel they're buying something new, when it's really the same old product repackaged.

Thanks for all your great work.

Like you said, it's up to us REAL people to keep the fight alive.

Peace
