Please join us for the 13th Annual TransOhio Trans and Ally Symposium, which will take place, virtually, Friday, September 17 to Sunday, September 19. The theme this year is “Into the Unknown.”

Providers Day: Friday, September 17, 2021

Providers Day is specifically directed towards providers of the greater trans and nonbinary communities. Continuing education credits are offered for qualifying medical and legal professionals at no additional cost. Keynote speaker Dr. Kyl Myers will join us after lunch to share their perspective on gender creative parenting, as well as to give insight and spark meaningful dialog about how we can better care for our transgender youth here in Ohio and beyond.

General Symposium: Saturday, September 18, 2021

The General Symposium will feature keynote presenter, Kylar Broadus, the first out transgender person to testify in front of the U.S. Congress, and a pioneer in the trans equality movement, as well as a variety of sessions, workshops, and breakout groups specifically geared towards transgender and nonbinary community members, friends, family, and allies.

Trans and nonbinary employees and job applicants face numerous roadblocks in accessing employment opportunities. Please join us for a Virtual Job Fair, where all employers and resources have been thoroughly vetted by us for you.

Restrictions

Select sessions offered during this year’s TransOhio Trans and Ally Symposium may be closed to those outside of a specific community or interest, and those sessions will be labeled as such in the program and schedule. Schedule and sessions are subject to change.

Representatives of TransOhio will be monitoring the virtual sessions and chats to ensure that this event is safe and welcoming. This event is open to the public; however, any person who violates TransOhio’s terms may be removed from the session and/or Symposium with or without notice. No hate speech will be tolerated, no exceptions.
