Come preview
Overbites Pictures' hit documentary "American Mayor" at The Drexel Theatre before it's rereleased by Amazon Video on September 19!

Directed by Bexley native Travis Irvine, "American Mayor" focuses on the iconic 2007 Bexley mayor's race and how a 24-year old filmmaker/comedian had to run against seven other people to stand up for his neighbors. Knowing nothing about running for mayor, he documented the 130-day campaign and showed how one person can make a difference in the local political process.

The documentary made the festival rounds in 2010, screening at theFestival de Cannes' Short Film Corner, Palm Springs International Film Festival & Palm Springs ShortFest and others. The screening will be followed by a brief panel moderated by The Confluence Cast's Tim Fultonand featuring Irvine, current Bexley mayor Ben Kessler, Bexley City Councilman Richard Sharp and the Ohio Green Party's Bob Fitrakis!

Doors open at 6:30 PM and the screening starts at 7 PM! Tickets are $5 and will be available for purchase here: http://www.drexel.net/
