New York City political and literary imprint Seven Stories Press acquired Columbus, Ohio’s 2 Dollar Radio.

I looked at Seven Stories Press’ list. I saw Huey Newton, Howard Zinn, Noam Chomsky, Ralph Nader, Angela Davis, Amnesty International, Phil Jackson, Kalle Lasn, Lydia Lunch, Karl Marx, Fidel Castro, Free Press’ contributor Greg Palast, Upton Sinclair, Kurt Vonnegut, Gary Webb, The Zapatista’s, Slavoj Zizek, Pacifica Radio’s Sonali Kolhalkar and The Weathermen.

I determined that Upton Sinclair and The Weathermen wouldn’t ruin the vegan food at Two Dollar Radio’s German Village location.

IF you like radio – Rising Up With Sonali airs from 92.7/ 98.3 wcrsfm.org weekdays 9-10am.

Seven Stories publishes Weather Underground’s Sing A Battle Song 1970-1974.

Weather Underground were a political community which used writings, speeches, and various explosions as opposition of oppressions of Black people, the Vietnam War, and the CIA’s dismantling of Democratic governments in Latin America which were empirical colonialist experiences of our government killing people.

Sing a Battle Song includes Prairie Fire, communiques, poems by the Women of the Weather Underground, timelines, historical notes by Weather People, Personal Reflections and other insights.

Prairie Fire is a political analysis of history. Prairie Fire is Howard Zinn’s People’s History of the United States for someone whose favorite book is Autobiography of Malcolm X.

Songs…

The Weather Underground liked Bob Dylan, and psychedelic rock’n’roll like people with taste in 70’s.

I liked Weather People because of rap music. White people involved with rap music respected a couple role models.

If our country is a racist white supremacist entity, then I’m John Brown with a fade. If our country is a racist white supremacist entity, then the Weather Underground are the ideal version of white people.

I’ve read Prairie Fire.

Sing A Battle Song is the section of poems written by the women of the Weather Underground in this Seven Stories Press classic.

I picked Sing A Battle Song for this section. I liked the idea of poem written while blowing up buildings and freeing Tim Leary from prison. I’m into rap.

We read poems by yippie and hippie women describing personal experiences while acting as important figures in our country’s 70s social revolution post-MLK Jr., post-Malcolm X with Black Panthers proceeding punk and Hip Hop.

Sing A Battle Song is like reading hipster women’s personal feelings about human interactions while they were responding to atrocities by blowing up a police station and exploiters of Chile…

I will Mansplain because I’m a man. Weather Women sexed, appreciated friends, liked music, and empathized other women’s realities while impeding local and global colonialism existed as an imperative.

The timelines details government oppressions, arrests, assassinations and Weather Underground responses like bombing the Capital of the United States. Sing A Battle Song provides a framework for the fact Weather Women were smart women who dated and evolved while warring with colonialism.

We read evolution where Weather Women pivot a tad. In the beginning, the Women of the Weather Underground didn’t prioritize oppression of women because the women didn’t want victimization stifling needed responses.

A poem discusses respect Assata Shakur’s speeches, and bravery. The Women of the Weather later watch Assata’s arrest. Shakur’’s arrest reminded the Women of the Weather Underground that the government didn’t like dissidents.

2Pac’s mom, Afeni Shakur also appears in this book.

Poems discuss America soldiers sexually assaulting Vietnamese women. Rape isn’t liberating.

Hamas, Isreal, and Sudan’s sexual violence should’ve disqualified Pete Hegseth.

Hamas rapes weren’t even mentioned by Democrats who brought up Pete Hegseth’s police report. Do you think Hamas should rape women? Should the Pentagon rape women? Why do you rape women?

Weather Women are aware American’s soldiers raped people that Uncle Sam allegedly protected from communism.

Sing A Battle Song shows an evolution where the white daughters of the Autobiography of Malcolm X become Black Panthers peers and discover men who rape Vietnamese women don’t like white women either.

Weather Women realize something similar as the thesis of Simone de Beauvoir’s Second Sex. Even if women shouldn’t hesitate because women haven’t played leadership roles it doesn’t mean sexism isn’t oppression. A lady can follow a communique with an explosion, and our society still marginalizes women into subservient roles which dislike rape of third world women.

The Weather Underground believed opposing colonialism with words and violence shouldn’t hesitate because of societal silencing of women.

The Weather Underground opposed sexism from their inception. The Weather Underground approach evolves in acknowledgement of the detriment of sexism in every aspect of culture. We all agree sexist, racist white men shouldn’t rape. If a country is sexist, war spoils include rape. We all agree sexist, racist white men shouldn’t commit genocide.

I read Sing A Song because I avoided typing in a  text conversation.

“Destroying the walls in the immigration detention center in Louisiana isn’t wrong because Trump’s Final Solution in Gaza.”

Weather People didn’t kill people intentionally. Weather People did make a mistake became bombs explode.

I paused for a second. Why are we in this 2025 mess? If sexism doesn’t exist?

IF Donald Trump doesn’t win in 2016 then Donald Trump doesn’t control Supreme Court. While I’m sure our country would’ve done something imperialistic while education, free speech, abortion and healthcare would be our luxuries as a wealthy nation. I regret wasting all these years with Trump.

If Donald Trump doesn’t attack the Capital with white supremacists, then Donald Trump doesn’t receive the Supreme Court’s encouragement. While it appears only Clarence Thomas will allow the Trump dictator. I don’t think we needed Trump testing the elasticity of dictatorship.

Our government shouldn’t have devolved. After Bush, I didn’t think our country could repeat this mistake.

Seven Stories published this Weather Underground Anthology in 2006.

Weather People discuss Palestine, Afghanistan, and Iraq with a contempt of George Bush and Condeleeza Rice. Would it be sexist to call Marco Rubio a prettier Condeleeza Rice?

Pause…

I looked at Weather People’s adult recent political advocacy. Participatory democracy via town halls is recommended. If people realize the threat of oppressive capitalism then our citizens will reject oppressive capitalism out of survival. Weather People show words, and people power shape culture.

Fight The Oligarchy! Fight The Oligarchy destroys the idea that a carpetbagger from New York named Donald Trump is for the working class.

I gleaned participatory democracy, intelligence discussion, and lawyers are applicable lessons from Weather People.

Bernadine Dohrn escaped the FBI’s most wanted list.

The Weather Woman who wrote communiques preceding explosions is a lawyer.

Weather People would’ve bombed a bathroom in a building Kid Rock owned after penning a declaration of why they oppose Kid Rock’s support of Trump because of Trump’s Gaza’s Final Solution. Perhaps professional wrestling would’ve experienced Weather People property violence because of Hulk Hogan, and Linda McMahon.

Weather Men recommend avoiding postering. I won’t rent a car and destroy the El Salvador prison.

We still should vote because Congress is the quickest power shift after a culture change. Lawyers need judges who are appointed by humdrum Democrats instead of avowed bigots.
