People outside protesting with a sign saying End Systemic Racism

Start: Monday, July 20, 2020 12:00 PM
End: Monday, July 20, 2020 1:00 PM

Ohio Statehouse, 1 Capitol Square
Working people from across the nation and allies in the interconnected fights for justice are standing together to Strike for Black Lives on Monday, July 20th. In Columbus and across the country, workers will rise up this Monday to strike for Black lives. This is a moment to transform our economy and democracy, but until we dismantle racism and white supremacy, we cannot win economic, climate or immigration justice. You are encouraged to meet to demonstrate support between 12 and 1pm in person at the Ohio Statehouse, or to participate in the car caravan which will run along Broad Street to 3rd, and then make a loop around the corner of the Statehouse and back to Broad Street. If you can't join on foot or by car, join us in spirit to demand that Black lives are valued by committing to kneel, hold a moment of silence or walk off the job for 8 minutes and 46 seconds.
