CALL TO ACTION: Show Up to Stop Taxpayer-Funded Genocide

Thursday, July 24
-2:00 PM

Franklin County Treasurer’s Office, 373 S. High St., First Floor Auditorium

Are you heartbroken and outraged watching the ongoing starvation and slaughter of children in Gaza? Do you feel helpless watching your tax dollars continue to fund war, apartheid, and genocide?

This is your chance to DO something.

In February, Franklin County Treasurer Cheryl Brooks Sullivan made the decision not to reinvest $5 million of our public funds in Israel Bonds — a move applauded by community members committed to human rights.

But now, Israel’s economy is being artificially propped up. War profiteering, booming weapons and surveillance industries, and an inflated stock market could all potentially help improve Israel’s credit rating — making it more likely that public officials could consider reinvesting in genocide.

We must show up and say: NO MORE!

Franklin County residents have the power to demand that our tax dollars do not support the killing and displacement of innocent people. We must hold decision-makers accountable and show them that our communities refuse to be complicit.

Make a public statement or just show up for support.

Let’s pack the room. Let’s send a message.
Not another dollar. Not another child.
End the investments. End the complicity!

There is a $2.5 million bond that matured in October and this will be our last chance to pressure the treasurer against reinvesting that money in Israel so please show up if you can!

Emergency Rally for Gaza
Thursday, July 24 - 6pm
Bicentennial Park, Main St. and South Civic Center Dr.

Join us tomorrow to demand an end to the starvation in Gaza.  This is not a natural disaster - it's a weaponized famine.  Children are dying from hunger and thirst.  Aid is being blocked.  We cannot stay silent.

Bring signs, kufiyas, flags, pots and pans.
