Ohio Statehouse
At 4:00 pm we will gather in the parking lots of the Town and Country Post Office, 3750 E. Broad and the Whetstone Library, 3909 N. High St. At 4:15 the caravan will depart together for downtown. Both groups will meet up to circle the Capital from 4:45-5:15. Please use your car to display your protest messages. Let’s all join forces to support the #heroesact! With the extra $600 weekly unemployment payments and eviction moratoriums expired, Congress has left for recess. President Trump’s executive orders do not hold water. The country needs a comprehensive plan to address our needs during the pandemic. On Thursday, August 13th, Ohio Families For Covid Relief will join concerned citizens in a caravan rally around the statehouse. Participants plan to demonstrate their support for the Heroes Act while safely circling in protest-adorned vehicles. People's lives are hanging in the balance. The economy stands on the edge of an even deeper collapse if a relief package is not passed. If we don’t act now, it isn’t just the unemployed families who will suffer. It will be every single person in the US. A coordinated federal relief package must also address the enormous costs of fighting the virus. That's why the time has come to unite together and stand up to say with one voice, pass the Heroes Act.
