Riveting newcomer Lauren Sanderson has announced summer U.S. headlining dates, aptly dubbed the Trust The Universe Tour, her first major trek since signing with Epic Records this past spring. The live run kicks off in Milwaukee, WI on July 12 and hurtles through much of the country’s heartland, winding down in early August. It’s an enticing rollout from the Midwest-reared 22-year old whose alluring blend of alternative, R&B, and hip hop has captivated music fans and critics across the globe. She will be in Columbus on July 31 at The Basement, 391 Neil Ave,
Hailed as a versatile force whose self-made path has cast her in the music spotlight, she’s honed her gift for soulful vocals and thoughtful, cascading rhymes into a languid style all her own. She hits the road still basking in the afterglow from her acclaimed single “Written in the Stars” (feat. PnB Rock) released in early March. Listen to it HERE. The breakthrough single has already racked up over 2 million audio and video streams. Her evocative video followed later in the spring, capturing the star’s magnetic presence along with the Philly swagger of PnB rock.
Lauren will be flexing her live prowess this weekend at the LA Pride Festival on June 10 (the annual LGBT pride event will be held on June 9, and 10 in West Hollywood). She will also be performing at the L.A. Sparks Halftime Show this Thursday, June 7 for the team’s PRIDE Night. On June 22, Lauren will be rocking the 2018 BET x Coke Stage, as well.
The enthralling artist has built a confident foundation that bolsters her provocative and sensual style. Born and raised in Ft. Wayne Indiana, she first turned heads on YouTube, garnering a devoted social media following and winning over tastemakers and R&B fans with her self-released 2017 EP Spaces. The 7-track EP independently snared the #1 position on iTunes Top R&B Albums Chart with no traditional promotion, tethering her genre-blending chops to taut rhymes and a radiant vocal delivery. Additionally, singles like “Fake Love” and “Anyone” (feat. Former Vandal) would both crack the 1 million mark on Spotify. Last year, she routed, scheduled, and booked an 18-city tour on her own, attracting more than 200K cumulative social followers with her confessional and empowering themes, as Earmilk noted: “The boss lady has been delivering classics for the last handful of years and can never be accused of making music without a message.”
Readying new music to be released soon, Lauren is poised to widen her audience even more with the upcoming Trust The Universe Tour, which she hopes will inspire fans to believe in the power of following your own star: “No matter where you are in life,” she says. “Trust that the universe has your back, always…”
