A few of the ICE members who committed violent and sexual crimes

Under the Trump administration, the Department of Homeland Security likes to claim that every immigrant is a criminal. But a new list shows the real criminals work for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Border Patrol. Said Lynn Tramonte, Executive Director of the Ohio Immigrant Alliance, “As the government pushes to hire new agents rapidly, background checks and vetting processes are being tossed aside. How many more predators are in the process of joining these federal agencies? No one knows, and that is terrifying.”

A new list of  criminal agents at Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Border Patrol shows that their violence, in public, is part of an organizational culture that rewards misogyny. From Cincinnati’s Samuel Saxon and Andrew Golobic, to Arizona’s John Daly III (the East Valley Serial Rapist), the men on this list of 29 criminal agents preyed on women and children over years — and even decades — of employment at federal agencies.

Pacific Antifascist Research Collective released a list of 29 individuals with egregious criminal records, and none of them are immigrants arrested by the federal government. They are all ICE and Border Patrol agents. The agents’ arrests and, in many cases, convictions, span a period of 10 years, from 2015-2025, but 11 of the 29 (38 percent) are from 2025, a marked uptick in abusive agents.

"These 29 agents — all men — preyed on children, family members, and total strangers, violently and sexually, for years. Two-thirds of these criminal agents targeted children. And no one knows how many predators have been handed guns, and a sense of unaccountability, in recent weeks. Our communities deserve safety. The federal government is bringing us harm," Tramonte said

Their offenses include gunpoint sexual assault; child sex trafficking; aggravated assault; robbery; rape; torture; kidnapping; sexual abuse of a minor; and possession and production of child sexual abuse materials. Some, like Cincinnati ICE’s Andrew Golobic, used their authority as federal agents to abuse victims on the job. Others, like Cincinnati ICE’s Samuel Saxon, preyed on relatives. Two-thirds of the agents sexually victimized children (19 of 29).

The list of offenders includes John Daly III, the East Valley Serial Rapist. Daly, an Arizona Border Patrol agent, was finally arrested twenty-two years after his first known offense. Arizona Border Patrol has the most agents on the list, at nine, but the Detroit Sector of ICE and CBP — with jurisdiction over Ohio and Michigan — has five individuals.

Said Tramonte, “On the job, ICE and Border Patrol agents’ violence is not simply excused by their bosses; Department of Homeland Security leadership is actually trying  to recast violent agents as the victims. That is why the media cannot simply take the government’s word about incidents, as they happen. The media must make sure they are reporting the truth first — even if it takes a little longer to gather facts. Without that, our  media only serves as propaganda microphones for the administration. Our democracy, and public safety, need an independent spotlight on the actions of our government.”

Renee Good’s murder is just one tragic example of ICE agents’ violence against women, and their bosses’ attempt to cover up the truth. In her killing, many women, trans, and queer people spotted an immediate element: the culture of misogyny within these agencies. The 19th documented several other examples from 2025, writing “the widespread visibility of physical violence against women in public spaces does not happen in a vacuum and goes hand-in-hand with the policies and messaging coming from the administration.”

They continued, “The visible attacks shared online come on the heels of President Donald Trump insulting women reporters as ‘piggy’ and ‘ugly’ and downplaying the severity of domestic violence. They also come at a time when reproductive rights and access to gender-affirming care have been significantly restricted, and as funding for gender-based violence services and research centering women and LGBTQ+ people has been stripped.”

The hypocrisy of DHS providing paychecks to people who are a danger to the public is consistent with other administration behaviors. Despite the fact that the person who orchestrated the Feeding Our Future fraud, Aimee Bock, is a white woman, Trump singled out the entire Somali community for collective punishment. At the same time, he pardoned and commuted the sentences of people who are also not Somali, and also stole billions of dollars from employees, customers, and taxpayers

Mehdi Hasan of Zeteo documented their names and offenses, including Trevor Milton, Paul Walsack, Michelle Fiore, Lawrence Duran, David Gentile, and Philip S. Forms, who orchestrated “the biggest criminal Medicare fraud in American history.” Trump pardoned or commuted the sentences for every single one. Fraud is fraud, unless it is committed by a Trump supporter.

When announcing 280 arrests of Columbus residents in Operation Buckeye, ICE provided mug shots and criminal histories of less than a handful of immigrants. While the media highlighted these examples, they are actually outliers. Even if 10 of the 280 people ICE arrested have criminal histories, as the agency claimed, over 96 percent did not. And we know, based on years of experience, that ICE lies about the criminal behavior of people it arrests; refuses to provide evidence to back up its claims; and doesn’t respond to media inquiries. In fact, at least three of the so-called “criminal arrests” that ICE claims from Operation Buckeye took place before it began

ICE and Border Patrol agents are also using increasingly dangerous tactics to arrest people they suspect may not be in the country illegally — a civil law violation — and silence U.S. Americans who object to the violence they are bringing to communities. According to Prism Reports and The Trace, federal agents have brandished or fired their guns at least 31 times between July 7, 2025 and January 8, 2026. This includes 16 total shootings, four people killed and seven people injured. Additionally, The Trace documented 13 times agents used “less-lethal” weapons, like rubber bullets.

“The figures likely underestimate the true scale of violence since shootings involving immigration agents are not consistently disclosed,” Prism writes. In Columbus, ICE agents caused a dangerous car crash after racially profiling a motorist and pursuing his car at a high speed. Miraculously, no pedestrians were injured.

Below is a list of the violent criminals who were (or still are) employed by ICE and the Border Patrol, from Pacific Antifascist Research Collective. Additional data is available here and in these social media posts. And, since race is such an obsession with the administration, it bears pointing out that 72 percent of the criminal agents (21 of the 29) are white men.

"These men preyed on children, family members, and total strangers — violently and sexually — for years. Two-thirds of these criminal agents targeted children. And no one knows how many predators have been handed guns, and a sense of unaccountability, in recent weeks. Our communities deserve safety. The federal government is bringing us harm," Tramonte added.
