It's baaaaaaaaack! As part of a new [old] tradition, Columbus International Film + Animation Festival (CIF+AF) proudly presents our special Halloween screening of the classic silent film Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror (1922). Nearly a century old, Nosferatu is the unauthorized loose adaptation of Bram Stoker's novel Dracula. Starring Max Schreck, Gustav von Wangenheim, and Greta Schroeder, the film was directed by F. W. Murnau and still remains an unsettling and ambitious example of the German Expressionist film movement.
Our screening features a totally re-envisioned score by CIF+AF and DJ Donnie Mossman (Damn Girl, Howlin’, and The Clampdown). We like to call this the NosferNINTIES Remix. We dropped the original orchestral score and pumped up the jams with all the '90s favorites. This is a soundtrack we can all truly sink our teeth into.
Founded in 1952, the Columbus International Film + Animation Festival is the oldest and longest, continuously running film festival in the United States. Each year the festival showcases world-class independent films and attracts filmmakers, film enthusiasts, and diverse audiences from all over the globe to enjoy the annual event in Central Ohio.
