Share and submit your testimony alongside concerned Ohioans—who have been shut out of committee hearings—on the need to repeal HB 6.
It has been nearly 3 months since the FBI arrested former Ohio Speaker Larry Householder and his associates in an alleged $60 million bribery scandal connected to House Bill 6—the nuclear and coal bailout bill that cost consumers more than $1 billion, destroyed Ohio jobs, and stripped away clean energy programs that have protected Ohioans’ health during this pandemic. Despite widespread opposition from Ohioans before the bill passed and outrage over the news that HB 6 was passed as part of "likely the largest bribery scheme ever perpetrated against the state of Ohio,” this bad bill remains in place.  The Ohio House Select Committee on Energy Policy and Oversight continues to drag its feet on HB 6 repeal efforts and has not yet invited the public an opportunity to testify on this corrupt legislation. In fact, Committee Chairman Hoops recently announced that the Committee will not meet to consider a repeal of HB 6 until further notice. Ohioans deserve to be heard, which is why stakeholders will convene a series of virtual public hearings on the need to repeal HB 6. Starting on October 21st, you are invited to share and submit your testimony alongside organizations, businesses, and concerned Ohioans—who have been shut out of committee hearings to date—to share your perspective on the need to repeal HB 6. Each participant will be allotted 2 minutes to speak out and tell Ohio lawmakers why HB 6 needs to be repealed immediately and entirely. We ask that you submit your comments in written form ahead of the hearing. Once you sign up, we will provide you with an estimated time in which you will deliver your spoken testimony, as well as a link to submit your written comments.

If you’d rather provide written-only testimony, please submit that here.  Sign up for any of the dates here
