Obama leaning back in leather chair with hand on mouth looking pensive

Can you name the President who added 10 millions jobs in his eight year term where 94% of the jobs were temporary with little to no benefits? (as per study by Harvard University L Katz and Princeton University economist A Krueger)

Can you name the President since 1980 whose administration saw the widest gap between income for black men versus white men in the USA? (as per study by University Chicago economist KK Charles and Duke University economist P Bayer)

Can you name the President since 1988 whose administration reduced the USA nuclear stockpile the least? (Pentagon figures -hint – this President has also initiated nuclear upgrades that will cost over $1 trillion dollars)

In each case the President was Barack Obama.  This is the same person who championed “change” and “hope” for the disenfranchised as well as nuclear disarmament.  This is not to say that Obama is the worse, far from it.  But it is to say that we the people in the USA need to come to terms with the simple fact that pretty much everything the President tells us is not true.  Hence, why not just accept this and let’s refer to the President as the Con-man-In-Chief and not Commander-In-Chief?!

Each President has their own style for never telling us the truth with regards to policy.  George W Bush was the “tough acting cowboy” (though the fact is that he refused to get on a well trained horse when offered such by the President of Mexico), Barak Obama the great orator and, of course, the terms “Slick Willie” (Bill Clinton) and “Tricky Dick” (Richard Nixon) speak for themselves.  Now with Donald Trump we have the classic malignant narcissist well known as the ultimate “con man” who can make you pay a small fortune in tuition for a diploma with no value, as just one of countless examples.  What they all share in common is acting for the powerful moneyed interests that gave them their power/got them elected, and trying to hide this from the “common folk”.

When you think about it, it would not take much to modify the song “Hail to the Chief” to fit our new model.  Here are the original words:

ORIGINAL LYRICS

Hail to the Chief we have chosen for the nation,

Hail to the Chief! We salute him, one and all.

Hail to the Chief, as we pledge cooperation

In proud fulfillment of a great, noble call.

Yours is the aim to make this grand country grander,

This you will do, that's our strong, firm belief.

Hail to the one we selected as commander,

Hail to the President! Hail to the Chief!

Here is my suggestions for the modified version.  If we put our heads together we can have a final version by Jan 20, 2017 when the ultimate “Con-Man” becomes Chief!

REVISED LYRICS
Hail to the Con-man-In- Chief that 1 % have chosen for the nation,

Hail to the Con-man-In-Chief! They alone salute him, for their beck and call.

Hail to the Con-man-In-Chief, as he starts the obfuscation

In proud fulfillment of the rich and powerful’s “give us more” clarion call.

Yours is the aim to make this grand country pander,

To the rich and powerful, at our expense, this you will do, that's our strong, firm belief.

Hail to the one the majority never selected as commander,

Hail to the President! Hail to the Con-Man-In-Chief!
