Columbus residents are joining thousands across Ohio this weekend to say: We want our voices heard! We do not consent to the destruction of our government and our economy for the benefit of Trump and his billionaire allies. We are standing up in defense of our veterans, federal workers, our LGBTQ+ and trans brothers and sisters, libraries, universities, the rule of law, our constitution, and our democracy. The Columbus protest will take place Saturday, April 19, from 12-2 p.m. at the Ohio Statehouse (1 Capital Square). Local organizers are expecting several thousand attendees across 50 Ohio events, with hundreds of thousands of people confirmed nationwide. The following events are also taking place in central Ohio:
- Bellefontaine: 1-4 p.m., Logan County Courthouse, 101 S Main St, Bellefontaine
- Chillicothe: 12-3 p.m., Ross County Courthouse, 2 N Paint St, Chillicothe
- Circleville: 12-2 p.m., Corner of Court and Main (in front of Chase Bank), 100 E Main St, Circleville
- Delaware: 12-1 p.m., Delaware City Hall, 1 S Sandusky St, Delaware
- Lancaster: 2-4 p.m., Fairfield County Courthouse, 210 E Main St, Lancaster
- Marysville: 12-2 p.m., Intersection of 5th and Main St, Marysville
- Newark: 1-2 p.m., Licking County Courthouse, 1 Courthouse Sq, Newark
- Reynoldsburg: 10-11 a.m., Municipal Building, 7232 E Main St, Reynoldsburg
- Westerville: 12-1:30 p.m., Westerville City Hall, 21 S State St, Westerville
- Wilmington: 12-1 p.m., Clinton County Courthouse, 46 South St, Wilmington
- Zanesville: 12-2 p.m., Muskingum County Courthouse, 27 N 5th St, Zanesville
