The Single-Payer Action Network Ohio (SPAN-OHIO) will hold a rally prior to a meeting with Senator Rob Portman’s office in Columbus. The rally will assemble in the park next to the building. SPAN-Ohio will be asking that Senator Portman support Medicare for All – a health care system that is universal, of high quality, comprehensive, publicly financed, not tied to employment and accountable to the citizens of the country – not Wall Street. The lack of a health care system that meets the above standards has resulted in preventable deaths and disease as well as financial hardship for many who just have the bad luck of getting sick or having an accident. The current system is inefficient and wasteful and a drain on our economy. We’d like to show Senator Portman that his constituents are behind Medicare for All and hope that those who agree will be present at this rally. Stories about personal difficulties with the current system will be shared – so bring yours! Visit the SPAN Ohio Website: www.SpanOhio.orgto become a member and sign up for updates.
