Young black woman smiling and raising her fist in the air

Location: Frankly County Municipal Court, 375 S. High St., Columbus 43215.
On Friday, August 2nd, Judge Woodrow Hudson will make the final call sentencing Masonique Saunders. After falsely charging her with the murder of Julius Tate that CPD committed, Prosecutor Ron O'Brien offered a plea deal for her to avoid prosecution as an adult for first degree murder. The conditions of the plea deal are twisted, and Masonique shouldn't have to spend another day incarcerated for a crime she didn't commit. She has already spent over 8 months in Juvenile Detention. With the support of the community, we will fight to release her as soon as possible. Please join us for a rally outside the county courthouse on to urge Judge Hudson to deliver a lenient verdict. It is outrageous that Julius's murderer is walking free while a teenager is incarcerated. We demand justice for Julius. We fight to free Masonique. We are still raising funds for Masonique and her mother, who has to pay for legal fees in addition to raising 3 children and finding transportation to visit Masonique.
