For too long, policymakers have neglected Ohio’s childcare system, and the littlest Ohioans suffer the consequences. Join researchers, organizers, and advocates from across the state in a discussion about the policies and practices that make the upcoming Day Without Childcare necessary.

WHAT: The briefing will cover the details of and need for significant changes and investments in the state’s childcare system. This call precedes the Day Without Childcare rally, which will be held next Monday, May 13 at the Ohio Statehouse from 10AM-5PM.

The CEO Project is a statewide grassroots organizing project focused on building power with women, especially women of color who work in the care economy. Our project aims to call on the state to adequately invest in our children and their families' futures. We are united in our belief that every child has a right to access affordable, quality childcare and early education.
Policy Matters Ohio is a non-profit policy research institute that creates a more vibrant, equitable, sustainable and inclusive Ohio through research, strategic communications, coalition building and policy advocacy.
Ohio Organizing Collaborative (OOC)
OOC is a grassroots, people-centered power organization. We unite base-building community organizing groups, student associations and faith organizations, with labor unions, and policy institutes throughout Ohio. It is our mission to organize everyday Ohioans, building transformative power organizations for racial, social, and economic justice. The CEO Project is a child care organizing project housed within the OOC.
