Stop sign

As I'm sure you're well aware, Donald Trump has handed unelected billionaire Elon Musk the keys to our federal government.

And if he isn't stopped – as we're demanding in our Fire Elon Musk campaign – he'll keep wreaking havoc, shutting down key government services, and attacking our civil servants.

It's an outrageous abuse of power and is harming millions of Americans – but right now, Congress is acting like everything’s business as usual.

That's right: our elected officials are totally abandoning their duty to their constituents while Musk does as he pleases. I need your help to deliver them a wakeup call. Our senators have substantial power to help mitigate Musk's attacks, provided that they do their jobs and use it.

Whether your senators are on the right, on the left, or in the center, they ALL need to hear from everyday Americans like you and me today. Call your senators and tell them that voters won't tolerate them sitting by in silence while Trump and Musk slash our government to line their pockets

CALL MY SENATORS

From attempting to cut off aid to millions of Americans to save him on his tax bill, to pressuring federal employees into quitting, Musk’s fingerprints are all over some of Trump’s most destructive actions so far.

And Suzanne, these aren’t typical administrative tweaks made by a new president, but a full-scale attempted takeover – led by an unaccountable, unelected billionaire – seeking to claim total authority over public spending, shred our safety net, and fundamentally reshape our way of life.

But luckily, our government doesn’t work like one of Musk’s companies – there’s no room for a king.

Our Constitution clearly grants Congress power to control the budget and act as a check on the executive branch. But those checks and balances only exist if our elected officials actually exercise them!

Our senators must treat this like the constitutional crisis it is by using the existing Senate rules to stop business as usual in the Senate until the President and Musk give up on their attempt to hijack our government.

The Senate is a slow and deliberative institution by design, particularly for moments like this, and any politician who tells you they can't do anything to stop Trump but give soundbites isn’t doing their job.
