Still haven't volunteered to celebrate Earth Day? Don't worry, there's still plenty of time to make Columbus a little greener.
Here are a few volunteer opportunities that could use your help:
Friday, April 21
- Remove invasives and plant native plants and trees at Reynoldsburg's Memorial Plaza or at Delaware's Methodist Theological School in Ohio
Saturday, April 22
- Greening Our Homes! Work with OSU Engineering students to install gardens at South Side Family Farms
- Forest Restoration on Eakin Road, sponsored by Kingspan
- Clean up the East Beechwold Neighborhood
- Get the 15th season at the Stoddart Avenue Community Garden started
- Help us out at our Earth Day Celebration!
Sunday, April 23
- Help clean up the Columbia Park/North Hilltop Neighborhood
Why volunteer? Hear from our Executive Director Shelly Douglas - she was featured on Good Day Columbus discussing the importance of our efforts to improve tree equity and the value in getting involved!
