Wednesday, July 28, 7-8:30pm, this on-line event requires advance registration
As a trans or non-binary person, what makes you smile? What brings you joy? What fills your cup? What causes you to appreciate yourself, your community, and your life?
This month, please join us on Wednesday, July 28th, at 7pm, for our free virtual event hosted by Wild Goose Creative. We invite all our siblings, loved ones, and allies to join us as our speakers share their stories; their personal viewpoints on the exploration of the joy-ful complexity of the trans identity.
“Trans Talks,” or “T” Talks, are an inclusive, intersectional, free, monthly storytelling event, for and by the transgender community, and founded and led by Felicia DeRosa in partnership with Wild Goose Creative. “T” Talks seek to undermine and disarm the discrimination, oppression, and violence against trans-identified people, socially, politically, and culturally. Monthly topics have included sexuality, body image, family, gratitude, and more. By sharing stories with the rest of the queer/ally young professional community, and, especially, those outside of the trans/queer community, the program hopes to dismantle the ignorance and stigma surrounding what it means to be Trans.
As with other “T” Talk events, this will be recorded and shared across social media as an informative and educational resource for friends, families, and allies.
Sign up now to reserve your spot, and then tune in on Wednesday July 28, 7-9pm, via Zoom. The link will be sent to you before the event.
This season’s “T” Talk is presented by CoverMyMeds, Tom E. Daily Foundation, and Greater Columbus Arts Council.
