From Ohio Environmental Council:
The City of Columbus is taking big steps to address the climate crisis. A few weeks ago, Mayor Andrew Ginther announced a plan for the city to achieve 100% renewable energy by 2022, and to be carbon neutral by 2050! It will take a lot to get there, so today we’re asking for your help to keep Columbus on track to meet these bold goals.  As soon as Monday, March 16th, Columbus City Council will be considering an Energy and Water Benchmarking Ordinance which is a critical piece of the City’s climate action plan. If adopted by council, the ordinance will enable greater efficiency in apartments, stores, schools, hospitals and other large buildings. Today, we’re asking you to write to the members of Columbus City Council and tell them you support the Energy and Water Benchmarking Ordinance.   Sign the petition here.
