Wednesday, March 30, 12noon, this event will be live-streamed on “Facebook Live”
Join the Ohio Environmental Council on March 30 at 12noon as we explore storytelling with Grist and their “Imagine 2200” project!
Grist is a nonprofit, independent media organization dedicated to telling stories of climate solutions and a just future. Their goal is to use the power of storytelling to illuminate the way toward a better world, inspire millions of people to walk that path with them, and show that the time for action is now.
In 2021, Grist launched a short story contest, “Imagine 2200: Climate Fiction for Future Ancestors.” They encouraged entrants to envision the next 180 years of equitable climate progress. The Ohio Environmental Council is excited to welcome not only Grist behind “Imagine 2200,” but some of the authors of last year’s stories!
Climate solutions and narratives come in many forms, and the stories of “Imagine 2200” illustrate a diversity of philosophies when it comes to understanding the climate crisis. We encourage you to read the stories, consider how they make you think and feel, and how they encourage you to take action!
Whether you’re a reader, a writer, or neither, join us to learn from Grist, their writers, and their approach to climate solutions through storytelling.
