Saturday, April 30, 7pm, Columbus Mennonite Church, 35 Oakland Park Ave.

R.J.’s original songs are compelling, emotional, inspiring, and introspective. While they have a personal feel, they also have a universal appeal because they focus on themes like taking chances, belonging, creativity, and being our true selves.

That’s why R.J. has been honored by the Kerrville Folk Festival, Sisters Folk Festival, Rocky Mountain Folk Festival, Mountain Stage, and many other musical venues.

Accompanying R.J. on guitar will be veteran Columbus musician, Brian Szuch.

R.J. will take the stage at 8pm, but for an extra treat, come to the show early for other highlights. At 6pm, we’ll resume our jamming where people can play along, sing along, or just listen along. At 7pm, three “open mic” acts will take the stage. And at 7:45pm, there will be a community sing of classic folk songs.

Suggested donations at the door are $15, $10 for members of Columbus Folk Music Society.

With COVID-19 fading, face masks will now be optional, and pre-registration and proof of vaccination will no longer be required.
