Saturday, April 13, 3pm, Reeb Avenue Center, 280 Reeb Ave.

First you take traditional bluegrass music inspired by the masters like Bill Monroe and Flatt and Scruggs. Then, you have young musicians perform it while adding their own original tunes. And what you get is: The Relentless Mules, a band that calls its genre “truegrass.”

With tight three-part vocal harmonies and instrumental backup that’s been called “blistering, dynamic, and creative,” the Mules will perform Saturday, April 13, at 3pm, at the Reeb Avenue Center, 280 E. Reeb Ave., just off of Parsons Ave. on Columbus’ south side.

Doors will open at 2pm so that concertgoers will be able to be treated to refreshments, a couple of possible neighborhood open mic acts, and an audience sing-along before the Mules take the stage at 3pm.

Hosted by Columbus Folk Music Society.
