DIY Molas art: Mola, or Molas, is part of a traditional outfit of a Kuna woman in Panama. In Dulegaya, the Kuna’s native language, “mola” means “shirt” or “clothing.” These are brightly woven panels of shapes, designs, and animals. Visitors will be able to create their own Mola with construction paper and designs.

Make a Vejigante Mask: The vejigante, pronounced “ve-hee-GAN-the,” is a character that represents an enemy or monster and can be seen in Puerto Rico during festivals like Carnanval. The mask is known as the careta and is usually made of papier-mâché and is one of the most recognizable examples of Puerto Rican folk art.

Admission to this event is included with general museum admission.
