Overview

This colloquium is part of CEHV’s Civil Discourse for Citizenship initiative, which provides opportunities for students to engage in vigorous and respectful discussion anchored by “the 4Cs”: Be Curious, Be Charitable, Be Conscientious, Be Constructive. The panel discussion will be moderated by two of our undergraduate Civil Discourse Fellows.

Panelists

Professor Tamika Nunley (History, Cornell University)

Tamika Nunley is Associate Professor of History focused on the history of slavery, African American women’s and gender history, the early Republic, and the American Civil War.

Professor Samuel Goldman (Political Science, George Washington University)

Samuel Goldman is executive director of the John L. Loeb, Jr. Institute for Religious Freedom and director of the Politics and Values Program.

Salma Albezreh

Salma is a second-year Public Health major in Ohio State’s Honors Program.

Kendal Harris

Kendal is a second-year major in Public Management, Leadership, and Policy.
