Wednesday, April 2, 6pm, First Unitarian Universalist Church, 93 W. Weisheimer Rd.
Join us for a School Board Candidate Forum, where parents, students, teachers, and community members will have the opportunity to hear directly from candidates running for the Columbus City Schools Board of Education. With three open seats and no incumbents in the race, this election presents a unique opportunity to shape the future of our schools.
At the forum, candidates will share their vision and answer questions on key issues, including:
• Transportation
• Sustainability and green infrastructure in schools
• Bullying and safety
• Student success and equity in education
• Communication with families
• How they will engage with the community and integrate community input
• If and how they will support LGBTQ+ students
This is a nonpartisan event designed to ensure the community is informed and engaged in the decision-making process. Candidates will also respond to a community-developed questionnaire, and their answers will be shared with attendees.
• Learn where candidates stand on the issues that matter to you
• Ask questions and engage directly with those seeking to represent our schools
• Be an informed voter and help shape the future of Columbus City Schools
