Saturday, February 24, 8pm, Columbus Mennonite Church, 35 Oakland Park Ave.
You’ll not hear anything artificially sweet in the incredible sounds crafted by Shannon Clark and the Sugar. A family affair, Clark and his wife Brittany, daughter Navie, and cousin Joey are all integral to creating music that is complex and full of honest, thoughtful lyrics. Adding to this is the rich sound of “blood harmony,” a type of harmony that is said to be a unique kind of harmony that can only be created by those who are related to one another “by blood.”
On Saturday, February 24, Shannon Clark and the Sugar will take the stage as the featured act of the Columbus Folk Music Society’s Monthly Coffeehouse Concert series.
Prior to Shannon Clark and the Sugar taking the stage at 8pm, there will be a full two hours of additional folk music programming to enjoy!
• 6pm: Informal Folk Music Jam
• 7pm: Open Mic
• 8pm: The Wildwoods
A donation of $15 at the door is suggested; $10 for CFMS members.
Hosted by Columbus Folk Music Society and Shannon Clark and the Sugar.
