Greater Cincinnati HRC [Human Rights Campaign] is excited to host our first Town Hall of 2022! This time around, we shine the spotlight on sexual violence awareness and prevention, specifically within the LGBTQIA+ community.

As we approach Sexual Assault Awareness Month, it is vital that we talk about sexual violence and its insidious presence within our society. We look forward to discussing power dynamics, consent, the media’s role in the proliferation of sexual assault glorification, kink and exploration, and violence against specific populations within the LGBTQIA+ community, especially transgender and non-binary POCs, bisexuals, and people with disabilities. More importantly, we will provide you with tools for self-advocacy, protection, how to identify if you’ve been a victim of sexual assault, and how to report it.
