Thursday, November 18, 6:30pm, Summit on 16th United Methodist Church, 82 E. 16th Ave.
Socialist Alternative Seattle council member Kshama Sawant is facing a right-wing-funded recall election, which is blatantly attempting to undo her re-election victory in 2019.
If the recall wins, it will signal to corporations and the billionaire class that they can pay to stop any progressive or socialist challenger to the corporate establishment.
Join us for a meeting and fundraiser on fighting back against corporate politics, and fighting for working class people, including Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, affordable housing and rent control, community control of the police, and a living wage!
Speakers:
Andrew Lin, Socialist Alternative
Mark Stansbery, Member of CWA [Communications Workers of America] Local 45021
Evan Holt, 2021 Democratic-Socialists-of-America endorsed independent Cincinnati City Council candidate
Kiara Yakita, Black Lives Matter Activist and Founder of Black Liberation Movement Central Ohio
Kevin McCartney, Socialist Alternative
Please wear a mask and stay safe!
Hosted by Columbus Socialist Alternative and Socialist Alternative Cincinnati.
