10th Anniversary Screening and Fundraiser. Tickets available now!

Stay after the screening for a discussion with the film’s writer, director and producer, Jenny Deller, and with additional panelists, on climate change, youth activism and on how environmental justice has evolved over the past decade. Deller will give a brief preview of her new project, The Imposter, set to film in Columbus next year.

About the film:

Official Selection of Tribeca Film Festival 2012. Abandoned by her dreamer single mom, a teenage loner becomes obsessed with ecological disaster, forcing her and her grandmother, a functioning alcoholic, to rethink their futures. Inspired by a The New Yorker article on global warming, Jenny Deller’s debut feature, Future Weather, uses the refuge of science and the environment as a backdrop to examine the intertwining lives of three generations of women.

About the filmmaker:

Her debut feature, Future Weather (2012), won the Showtime Tony Cox Award for Best Screenplay and grants from The Gotham, Women in Film, and the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation.
