Society has had a lot of growth since the beginning of the uprisings, thanks to our lovely grassroots organizers pushing the conversation forward. However, it is no secret that our organizers experienced an immense amount of trauma for us all to get there. One year after the uprisings can be difficult for many, but especially organizers, and for this reason, our inhale/exhale addresses this specific trauma. In this installment, we will learn how our breath is a conduit for our emotions and how our emotions can be released through our breathing. This practice will enable us to build capacity for deeper rest and restorative healing. We will be led by an amazing Black queer healer, Arnesia McMillan, founder and CEO of Alive2Living Coaching and Consulting and Polarity practitioner.
Arnesia McMillan is the Founder and CEO of Alive2living Coaching and Consulting. She has a B.S. in Psychology from Heidelberg University, is a Certified Personal trainer and Fitness Nutritionist, and, due to her fascination with energy work, she became a Certified Reiki and Polarity therapy Practitioner. Her approach allows for seamless communication and space for one’s personal awareness and growth. She has a way of transferring the simplicity of life to all of the complexities we experience as humans. What she has coined as “Connecting, Creating and Cultivating” has been a staple in her life journey to preserving her overall well-being and health. Her approach guides you on an internal journey bringing awareness to what is possible, while increasing your depth and capacity for inner safety, dignity, connection, and belonging.
Polarity therapy provides a means to self-residency for deeper rest and restorative healing.
